MADISON, Wis. – Ad 2 Madison, the young professionals affiliate organization of the American Advertising Federation-Madison, will be playing host to its
third annual HYPE fundraiser to benefit area non-profit organizations at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 13 at the Brink Lounge (701 E. Washington Ave.). The event, titled “Waking up in Vegas,” will have a casino theme complete with games and prizes, a silent auction and will be emceed by Emmy Fink of Madison’s CW’s “Buzzed into Madison.”
Each year Ad 2 Madison’s members plan and execute a pro bono advertising, marketing and public relations campaign for a local organization that would otherwise not be able to afford professional services. HYPE generates funds to help sustain future campaigns while celebrating the accomplishments of Ad 2 Madison as an organization.
“HYPE is a great way to support a worthy cause while having some fun,” Ad 2 Madison President Brian Lee said. “We hope the casino-themed cocktail party and silent auction will draw a big crowd and help us raise funds to continue aiding local non-profits.”
All Ad 2 Madison HYPE proceeds go directly to support the organization’s mission, the public service campaign and to create a scholarship. The past non-profits that Ad 2 Madison has helped are: The Literacy Network, HOPES (Helping Others Prevent and Educate about Suicide), The Salvation Army of Dane County, Rape Crisis Center, Downtown Safety Committee, Charles Hamilton Houston Institute, City of Madison (creation of Freakfest) and the Canopy Center for Healing & Family Services.
Ad 2 Madison is a local non-profit organization for communications professionals, which provides networking, education and leadership opportunities as well as the opportunity to create an annual public service campaign for other local non-profits.
