On Thursday, June 19, nearly 40 Ad 2 Madison members and guests gathered at Osteria Papavero in downtown Madison for our Annual Club Meeting. Attendees were treated to a delicious Wisconsin Success Story from an owner of Michael’s Frozen Custard. Perry McCourtney shared how the local company is growing its brand outside of Madison by getting back to its roots—supplying all-natural frozen custard to grocery stores in and around Wisconsin. Everyone received a coupon for free custard from one of Michael’s four Madison-area locations.
Ad 2 Madison's outgoing Public Service Chair, Melisa Perez, shared with the audience the committee’s 2007-2008 award-winning campaign created for the Canopy Center for Healing and Family Support Services. The committee recently placed second for Club Achievement among all Ad 2 Public Service groups in the country. Ad 2 Madison members are now beginning the selection process for next year’s Public Service campaign recipient.
Voting also took place that night for 2008-2009 Chair and Assistant Chair positions. Board members who will be leaving their positions at the end of the current club year were recognized for all their hard work and leadership. A special thanks to past club presidents Lindsay Ostrowski and Pat Hasburgh. You will be missed!
